Amaro Bistro & Bar

Amaro Bistro is close to its sister, Shady Lady Saloon, which happened to be named of of the top bars in 2014 according to Esquire Magazine.  Now the owners have teamed up with Abe Cunningham, which is Defton’e sdrummer.  The focus is on pizza and Italian dishes.  The bar emphasizes Amari, Herbal Liquers and has cocktails like Black Betty, DeGrassi and Queen City.

Binchoyaki – Izakaya Dining

A lot of people have tried to bring an Izakaya restaurant to Sacramento and many have failed.  It appears that Binchoyaki has finally succeeded.  The focus of Binchoyaki is grilled skewers and small plates that hae been found in izakaya or other Japanese style social houses.

Chando’s Cantina y Gastronomia

This restaurant started out as a walk-up stand, and it quickly changed into  4 food trucks and 3 fixed locations.  The newest location is the craziest so far.  It is a cantina that features a bar, table service, and regional tapas that are not normally found in the United States.  The bar is open until 3am, and it will feature mezcal and tequila cocktails as well as a signature drink reminiscent of combining chili power and Mexican fruit salad!

El Rey

This place is located just across the street from the new arena and and opens with Golden 1 Center’s opening.  You can expect great Mexian bites including tacos, duck, ahi, rockfish, carnitas, veggie and more!  There are lots of screens to watch all the games and also this place has two bars.

Kru

Guess what type of person you will find dining at Kru on their off days?  Chefs!  That’s right.  There has been plenty of people looking forward to this place sharing a new buildi as OBO’.  The new location will feature a full-serice bar, private dining pace, more seating, a retail shop, a bigger waiting area, and will also include expanded seating.

Malt & Mash

Right besides El Rey and owned by the same ownership group is Malt & Mash.  it’s an Irish Pub with a not-so-Irish menu.  You’ll discover a wide variety of traditional irish food.  There is also a patio that faces the arena, so it makes it a great spot for big party events on holidays like St. Patrick’s Day.

Pushkin’s Bakery

Pushkin’s Bakery started out as a small gluten-free bakery, it soon became a blockbuster which featured bake goods like cakes, cookies, and breads.  Their gluten-free buns are shipped to many different restaurants.  They’e opened a restaurant in the center of Midtown that not only features their original gluten free menu items, but it now has up to 60% Vegan items as well.  It is normally open from 8am to 4pm with hopes of it opening soon for dinner time
